Montreal-based duo Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran established their multidisciplinary concept Fecal Matter in 2016. Both studied fashion design at LaSalle College, where they refined their vision of creative expression. Their brand aims to express their critical views of consumer culture and their unique vision of beauty, through their personal pursuit of creative avant-garde looks. The duo create their own makeup concepts and model their own clothing, posing for spectacular and provocative photographs. Their social media presence quickly attracted a large following.
Their clothing is sold online through depop.com. In 2019, their “Skin Heels” boots were featured in the Montreal Couture exhibition at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and they received the Digital Fashion Influencer of the Year Award at the Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards.
